TheGage Gallery is a cute gem situated in the heart of Victoria,British Columbia .
We are22 local contemporary artists dedicated to creating an inspiring venue where we exhibit and sell our artwork as well as appoint with community in meaningful ways around art and culture.
With rotating solo and group exhibitions mounted every three weeks in our Main Gallery, there is always something new and exciting to discover. Our styles range from vivid brainchild to expressive representation, west coast landscape painting to sculpture, cartoon, printmaking, and more.The Members Gallery features an array of paintings and sculptures by collective members along with prints and fine art cards at very affordable prices. A special "Gage" bonus: there is always an creative person nowadays to chat with you. Access is always free!

Join Gage artist Ilka Bauer on a critical yet very-much personal journey through life in the Anthropocene. From science to police and ultimately her own cognitive noise, Ilka'south paper sculptures and expansive ink panels are an try to process decades of contradictions – lived and observed – when it comes to the environment. Art for Dogs and the People Who Dear Them
Local driftwood creative person, Tanya Bub creates an "Art for Practiced" exhibit that is equal parts fundraiser, fine art and entertainment. The show runs May 10-29 at the Gage Gallery, nineteen Bastion Square, Victoria. The idea for the show came from seeing dogs react to her canine themed sculptures. "They know information technology's not real and yet some dogs have a very strong reaction to the art". The surprising and delightful fact that some dogs like looking at art, merely like people exercise, made her want to do something for dogs. "The SPCA is an astonishing organization so I decided to donate 25% of my show proceeds to them". The bear witness volition feature outdoor sculptures of dogs for both dogs and people. People are encouraged to have and share photos of their dogs reacting to the art. Indoors (people simply) there volition exist a "Dog Park" display made upwards of 30 or so miniature sculptures depicting people and dogs at play, an "Air Canis familiaris" series with life-sized sculptures of dogs in action (communicable frisbees, leaning out of car windows, etc.), life-sized driftwood portraits of difficult-to-identify dogs currently at the SPCA, collage pet portraits, sculptures of wildlife and much more.
